New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : The Panchang holds significant importance in Hinduism, guiding individuals before undertaking auspicious activities, journeys, investments, or religious rituals. It is based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial bodies.
On September 16, 2026, which falls on a Wednesday, the Panchami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada will be effective until 8:59 AM. Following this, the Shashthi Tithi will commence. Worshiping Lord Ganesha on this day is considered particularly fruitful.
Sunrise will occur at 6:17 AM, while sunset is expected at 6:26 PM. The moon will rise at 10:52 AM and set at 9:42 PM. According to the Panchang, the sun will be positioned in the Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra on this day.
The Vaidhriti Yoga will remain effective until 12:21 PM, after which the Vishkumbh Yoga will take over. The Abhijit Muhurat, deemed the most auspicious time of the day, will be from 11:51 AM to 12:40 PM. Additionally, the Amrit Kaal will last from 7:53 AM to 9:37 AM.
However, caution is advised during certain periods. The Rahu Kaal will be from 12:21 PM to 1:52 PM, and the Gulika Kaal will be from 10:50 AM to 12:21 PM. The Yamgand Kaal will take place from 7:48 AM to 9:19 AM. Traditional beliefs suggest avoiding the commencement of new activities during these times as they are considered inauspicious.
On this day, the sun will be in the Leo zodiac, while the moon will be in Libra. The direction of the north will have directional obstacles (Disha Shool), and it is advised to avoid traveling in that direction. If travel is unavoidable, specific astrological remedies should be followed before departure.
