New Delhi, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made history by becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India. Sanjeev Goenka, owner of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) team, congratulated PM Modi on this remarkable achievement.
Goenka commended the Prime Minister, stating that during his tenure, there has been a significant shift in the country’s ambitions, global standing, and economic confidence. PM Modi reached this milestone on Wednesday, completing 4,399 days in office, surpassing Jawaharlal Nehru. This achievement follows consecutive electoral victories in 2014, 2019, and 2024, making him the longest-serving elected Prime Minister without interruption.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Goenka remarked that PM Modi’s leadership has transformed how India views itself and how the world perceives the country. He has fostered an environment that encourages businesses and entrepreneurs to think big.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has redefined India. He has reshaped the way we think and the respect that India and Indians receive globally. His leadership has been a blessing for the nation. Today, he stands as the longest-serving elected Prime Minister with 4,399 days, breaking a record that has stood for over six decades,” he wrote.
Drawing from his experience in the corporate sector, Goenka emphasized the importance of policy stability and continuity in driving long-term growth. He noted, “Few leaders are given such time, and even fewer use it to bring about change with such continuity. Over the years, policy consistency and implementation have laid the foundation for sustainable progress. As someone who has spent my life building businesses in India, I have seen how crucial certainty and long-term thinking are.”
Goenka also highlighted the government’s focus on infrastructure development, technology-driven governance, and economic competitiveness, stating that these measures have strengthened trust within the business community and elevated India’s role in global discussions.
“Emphasizing infrastructure, digital transformation, ease of doing business, and national competitiveness has bolstered confidence in the industry and encouraged Indian enterprises to think big. India’s rising stature in the world and its growing capacity to shape discussions on trade, technology, and economic growth are noteworthy,” he added.
In closing, Goenka expressed optimism about India’s future and credited the Prime Minister for laying the groundwork for the next phase of the country’s development. He stated, “The most crucial chapters are yet to be written, and the foundation laid gives me positivity about India’s future and the opportunities ahead. I have deep respect for the Prime Minister’s unwavering commitment to the nation and wish him well as he continues to work towards a stronger and more prosperous India.”
