Samsung Releases One UI 9 Update for More Galaxy Devices
Samsung has started deploying its One UI 9 update based on Android 17 to additional Galaxy smartphones, enhancing features and user experience.

Samsung is rolling out its One UI 9, based on Android 17, to more Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy S24, S25, S26, A55, and A35. The updates are now reaching users in various regions, focusing on those who participated in beta testing.
One UI 9 introduces several enhancements without a complete visual overhaul. It builds on design elements from previous versions, specifically One UI 7 and One UI 8. The new version includes minor design tweaks, improved AI features, and optimizations across various apps and settings.
The Galaxy S24, S25, and S26 benefit from features such as Call Brief, which displays helpful information during calls, and My FanCam, allowing users to create customized clips from existing videos. Now Nudge suggests actions based on phone activity, while users can customize the Now Brief cards to display preferred information.
For users of the Galaxy A55 and A35, the update follows successful beta tests in South Korea, rolling out under firmware version EZJ1 for the A55 and EZJ2 for the A35. Samsung has previously committed to providing four major Android upgrades and five years of security updates for these devices.
“One UI 9 isn’t a major visual change but refines previous designs,” a representative noted, emphasizing that users can expect a smoother experience with new AI-assisted functionalities.
Users can check for the update in their phone settings under Software update. The rollout may vary by region and phone model as Samsung continues to expand access to the One UI 9 update.
