Samsung’s upcoming premium true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, are expected to launch globally soon. Both models have appeared on multiple certification platforms, confirming their imminent availability across various regions.
The Galaxy Buds 4 (model SM-R540) and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro (model SM-R640) have been listed on regulatory websites including Malaysia’s SIRIM, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), SGS, and India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Such certifications usually indicate final stages of product testing before an official launch.
According to FCC documents, the Galaxy Buds 4 will support both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy technologies. However, specific details such as Bluetooth version and battery capacity have not been disclosed yet. SGS listings have also revealed the charging case model numbers: EP-QR540 for the Galaxy Buds 4 and EP-QR640 for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
The BIS certification suggests that Samsung is preparing to introduce these earbuds officially in the Indian market. Industry reports hint that Samsung may launch the Galaxy Buds 4 series alongside its flagship Galaxy S26 smartphones, possibly during the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026, expected in late February.
While official specifications, pricing, and release dates are yet to be announced, these certification sightings strongly indicate that Samsung’s next-generation premium earbuds will be available globally in the near future.
