Mumbai, February 22: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, has extended financial support of two lakh rupees to the family of Gulnaz Tabassum from Moradabad. Tabassum, a Booth Level Officer (BLO), tragically passed away due to a heart attack while on duty.
On Saturday, the Moradabad district unit of the Samajwadi Party presented a check for two lakh rupees to Tabassum’s family. District President Jaiveer Singh Yadav and A-BLO Salahuddin Mansoori were present during the distribution.
Jaiveer Singh Yadav and Salahuddin Mansoori handed over the check to Tabassum’s family. Mansoori had informed Akhilesh Yadav about the situation, prompting the former Chief Minister to offer assistance. The family expressed their gratitude to Akhilesh Yadav for his support.
Yadav explained that Gulnaz Tabassum was stationed at Booth Number 78 and worked in an Anganwadi. Her untimely death was attributed to a heart attack. Mansoori communicated the issue to the party, leading to the provision of financial aid.
He added that not only Gulnaz Tabassum, but also other BLOs who lost their lives due to work pressure during the SIR duty will receive financial assistance from the Samajwadi Party, facilitated by Akhilesh Yadav.
A-BLO Salahuddin Mansoori remarked that the current government should have taken responsibility for such matters. Instead, Akhilesh Yadav, even while in opposition, has stepped forward to assist the families of the deceased BLOs. The party fund was utilized to provide the check to Gulnaz Tabassum’s family, showcasing Yadav’s commitment to helping the underprivileged.
