Saints Support Baba Ramdevs Remarks on Muslims, Call for Communal Harmony

Lucknow, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : Several saints, including Mahant Dr. Yogananad Giri Maharaj of the Shri Panchdashnam Juna Akhara, have voiced their support for Baba Ramdev’s recent comments regarding the conversion of Indian Muslims. During discussions, Mahant Dr. Yogananad emphasized the need for communal harmony.

He stated, “Baba Ramdev’s assertion is true; all Muslims in the country are converted Muslims. If we trace their lineage, we would find that their ancestors were Hindus. Many accepted Islam out of fear during the Mughal invasions, which led to a significant rise in the Muslim population in the country.”

Dr. Yogananad further claimed that Muslims in other countries do not recognize Indian Muslims as part of their community. He pointed to ongoing persecution of Muslims in China, asserting that the ancestors of Indian Muslims were Hindus. He criticized figures like Asaduddin Owaisi for attempting to disrupt communal harmony and urged for unity among communities.

Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya Maharaj echoed this sentiment, saying, “Baba Ramdev has spoken the truth. Those who understand this will improve their lives. The ancestors of all Muslims in India are Ram and Krishna; they are all Sanatanis. Once they return to their roots, all their sins will be forgiven.”

Jagadguru Ram Dinesh Acharya added, “Sanatan is the oldest religion, and others came later. Some individuals converted their faith, but I believe they are still Hindus. Baba Ramdev’s statement is correct and logical, and it resolves all conflicts.”
