Saints Demand Expulsion of Rahul Gandhi and Pappu Yadav from Parliament

Varanasi, August 2: A nationwide protest has erupted among saints following independent MP Pappu Yadav‘s controversial attire in Parliament. Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, the national general secretary of the All India Saints Committee, announced that they have urged President Droupadi Murmu to revoke the memberships of Pappu Yadav, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad, and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Jagadguru Swami Balakdevacharya, head of the Patalpuri Math, stated, “A meeting of the All India Saints Committee took place here on Sunday. We discussed several critical issues, particularly the disrespect shown by Pappu Yadav towards the saint community. It was decided that we will not back down from the FIR filed yesterday. We demand his arrest. The community is outraged, and we will not rest until justice is served.”
Swami Jitendranand Saraswati further emphasized, “The incident in question involved the misuse of the corridors of Parliament to insult and provoke the Sanatan Dharma. Our objection is not to a saintly figure participating in donations for the Ram Temple. However, the act of Pappu Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and Awadhesh Prasad donning saffron attire to mock and insult the Sanatan Dharma and its saints is reprehensible. An FIR has been filed against all three, and we have also requested the President, as the guardian of Parliament, to terminate their memberships.”
Mahatma Arun Das Ji Maharaj from Haridwar remarked, “A meeting of secretaries from all states of the All India Saints Committee was held, where crucial decisions were made. We discussed the actions of Pappu Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and Awadhesh in Parliament, which are undoubtedly an insult to India. Their actions, wearing saffron to demean the saffron community, are unacceptable. Our national general secretary has instructed all secretaries to devise strategies for protests across states. Memorandums will be submitted to the President, Prime Minister, Governors, and Chief Ministers.”
Sanjay Das, national spokesperson for the All India Akhara Parishad, condemned the actions of Awadhesh Prasad, stating, “As an MP from Ayodhya, he should refrain from such behavior outside Parliament. We strongly denounce the absurd actions of Pappu Yadav and others in saffron attire. An SIT has been formed, and the investigation is underway. The truth will soon emerge. If this continues, entry into Ayodhya will be barred for them.”
