Mumbai, July 15: In Ayodhya, various religious leaders and officials associated with the Ram Temple Trust have expressed their views on pressing religious and social issues ahead of the upcoming trust meeting. Topics include the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute and the proposed car service in Mathura.
Kamal Nayan Das, the successor of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, president of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, stated regarding Mathura and Kashi, “Mathura and Kashi belong to us, and they will always be ours.”
He further noted that certain provisions in the Constitution do not align with the interests of the country and Sanatan Dharma. He believes that if misleading propaganda had not occurred during the last election, the Prime Minister would have already abolished those provisions.
Kamal Nayan Das also commented on the Ram Temple Trust meeting scheduled for July 22, where discussions will focus on appointing a new CEO and matters related to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das’s successor. He emphasized that the trust is an independent entity, not a government institution, and decisions should reflect that spirit.
Regarding the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute, Mahant Sitaram Das of the Saket Bhawan Temple expressed trust in the judiciary. He stated that just as Ayodhya is crucial for Sanatan Dharma followers as the birthplace of Lord Ram, Mathura holds equal significance as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. He expressed full confidence in the Supreme Court‘s impartiality and anticipates a just decision.
Sitaram Das also addressed the controversy surrounding donations to the Ram Temple and the ongoing investigation. He expressed trust in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the administration led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He believes that the SIT will soon present its final report, clarifying all facts regarding the matter.
On the news of car service starting in Mathura in August, Sitaram Das highlighted the significant role of car service in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He mentioned that the saint community has now called for a similar initiative for Krishna Janmabhoomi, believing it will pave the way for a grand temple there. He assured that the saints are fully prepared for this endeavor.
Mahamantrishwar Vishnu Das commented on the Gyanvapi dispute, stating that “Gyanvapi” could be the name of a temple, not a mosque. However, he clarified that they respect the Constitution, laws, and the Supreme Court, and will accept whatever decision is rendered.
Regarding the SIT investigation into the Ram Temple donations, Vishnu Das expressed confidence that the agency would uncover significant evidence. He emphasized that the Ram Temple is a center of faith for devotees of Lord Ram and hopes the investigation will be conducted fairly.
On the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute, Vishnu Das expressed hope that the Supreme Court will conduct a fair hearing, similar to that of the Ayodhya dispute, and he is optimistic that the court’s decision will favor the Hindu side.
Saint Satyendra Das Vedant Ji Maharaj also remarked on the Supreme Court hearing regarding Mathura, stating that saints and devotees across the country are looking towards the Supreme Court with great hope. He expects a decision in favor of those who believe in Sanatan Dharma, similar to the outcome of the Ram Janmabhoomi case.
Meanwhile, Iqbal Ansari, a former litigant in the Babri Masjid case, commented on the current situation in Ayodhya, stating that it is the city of Lord Ram, and people should come to worship here. He emphasized the need to keep Ayodhya clean, beautiful, and safe, urging focus on the city’s development and positive atmosphere while moving past unfortunate events from the past. He noted that those who violated the law are facing judicial proceedings and advised against spreading unnecessary negativity about Ayodhya.
