Delhi Traffic Advisory Issued Ahead of Proposed March from Hari Nagar to Tilak Nagar Metro Station

Delhi Traffic Police warns of disruptions on November 1 due to a planned march, advising public transport use and alternative routes.

New Delhi, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of a proposed march from the Hari Nagar DTC Depot to the Tilak Nagar Metro Station on November 1. With a significant turnout expected, traffic disruptions are likely from 9 AM to 3 PM in the surrounding areas.

According to the traffic police, Jail Road may be temporarily closed from Lajwanti Chowk to Tilak Nagar during the march. Various diversions and special traffic arrangements will be implemented based on real-time traffic conditions.

Areas affected by the march include Jail Road (in both directions from Lajwanti Chowk to Tilak Nagar), the Lajwanti Chowk flyover, Lal Sai Marg (from Delhi Haat to Hari Nagar Road), and roads leading to the DTC Depot in Hari Nagar. The police will direct vehicles to alternative routes as necessary.

Vehicles heading from Hari Nagar and Jail Road towards Najafgarh Road-Tilak Nagar can utilize the service road via Lajwanti Chowk, Sagar Pur T-point, and Pankha Road. Those heading towards Najafgarh Road-Rajouri Garden can take Maya Puri Road.

The Delhi Traffic Police urges citizens to use public transport, especially the metro, wherever possible. They recommend avoiding affected routes and using alternative paths. Motorists are advised not to park on the roadside and to keep routes clear for emergency vehicles. Compliance with the instructions of traffic personnel on-site is essential. Any suspicious individuals or unattended items should be reported to the police immediately.

Travelers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time to avoid potential delays due to the march.
