New Delhi, 6 December (Daily Kiran) – FIFA, the global governing body of football, will release the updated schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Saturday. The event will feature Brazil’s legendary footballer Ronaldo as a special guest.

Ronaldo, who won the World Cup in 1994 and 2002, will be joined by Italian and Roma icon Francesco Totti, a 2006 World Cup winner, and 1994 Ballon d’Or winner Hristo Stoichkov at the ceremony.

The updated schedule comes after the recent group stage draw held in Washington D.C. Currently, six teams have not yet qualified and are included as placeholders in the schedule.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will be present at the event along with former American defender and National Soccer Hall of Famer Alexi Lalas. The final match schedule will be announced in March, once FIFA and the European play-off tournament conclude and the last six spots are filled.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will take place from 11 June to 19 July across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The host cities include:

United States: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle

Mexico: Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey

Canada: Toronto, Vancouver

The final match will be held on 19 July at the New York–New Jersey stadium.
