Rohan Gupta Criticizes Mamata Banerjees Disrespect Towards President Murmu

Ahmedabad, March 8: BJP leader Rohan Gupta has responded to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s comments about President Droupadi Murmu. He stated, “The entire nation is outraged. This is TMC’s politics; they always try to insult everyone.”

Gupta further remarked, “If the ruling TMC can treat the country’s first citizen this way, what can the people of West Bengal expect from them? The President attended a tribal program, and the way the nation has heard her pain, everyone is embarrassed.”

On Saturday, the TMC government in West Bengal severely insulted President Droupadi Murmu. She had traveled to Bengal to participate in a significant Santhal tribal festival, but the TMC boycotted this sacred and important event for both the President and the tribal community.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had sharply criticized the BJP on Saturday. She commented on the allocation of a small venue for the 9th International Santhal Conference in Gosaiyapur, Darjeeling district, where the President was the chief guest. Mamata questioned, “Where has the BJP taken the Constitution today? They have sent her (the President) to promote BJP politics and fulfill their agenda. I regret to say, Madam, I respect you greatly, but you have fallen into the BJP’s trap.”

Mamata Banerjee insisted that this was not a state event. “The state government was not even informed about this program. We only receive information about when she will arrive and depart. We try to make arrangements as best as we can, but if someone comes every day, how can I be present each time? Don’t we have work to do? Should I follow you around all the time? If you come once a year, I will come to receive you. But if you come 50 times a year, I cannot be present every time.”
