MP Jiyaur Rahman Bark Celebrates Eid with a Message of Peace in Sambhal

Sambhal, March 22: Jiyaur Rahman Bark, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party, took a firm stance regarding the controversy surrounding the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Dhanehta village, Uttar Pradesh.

In an interview, Bark stated, “Dhanehta village is where the Allahabad High Court had previously issued a strict warning that there would be no restrictions on the number of people attending prayers. The prayers will be conducted as they traditionally have been.”

He further explained, “Since morning, villagers have been approaching me, insisting that prayers cannot be held without an Imam. I immediately called the SDM, DM, and SP of Sambhal to explain the situation. Someone had misled the administration into believing that prayers could be conducted without an Imam. Eid-ul-Fitr prayers do not work that way; whether there is one person or a thousand, everyone prays behind the Imam. After my intervention, the administration granted permission for the prayers.”

Bark performed the Eid prayers at the main Eidgah in Sambhal, where he engaged with the attendees. After the prayers, everyone joined the Imam in offering prayers for peace, prosperity, and happiness in the country. He extended Eid greetings to all Muslim brothers, stating, “This festival of Eid symbolizes peace and tranquility. Regardless of one’s religion, everyone is embraced here, and happiness is shared. It conveys a message of brotherhood and unity. I hope that this Eid will reduce distances among people and foster harmony in society.”

It is noteworthy that robust security arrangements were made in Sambhal district for the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. The administration designated various locations for prayers and deployed a significant police presence.
