New Delhi, August 8: Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has reached out to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for assistance in purchasing land in the state. Pant has expressed his desire to shift from Delhi to his native place in Uttarakhand, where he has been trying to acquire land for an extended period.
In a heartfelt message on the social media platform ‘X’, Pant wrote, “Hello, Pushkar Singh Dhami Sir. How are you? As a native of Uttarakhand, I have been here for quite some time. I am trying to buy land to shift from Delhi to Uttarakhand, but I am struggling to find a good and spacious place to live. I love my Uttarakhand very much. I humbly request your help in acquiring land, as it has become quite challenging to find clean land these days.”
He further mentioned, “Additionally, there is a land matter that should have been resolved when I was promoting the state. I want to return to my roots and contribute to the development of Uttarakhand while living among my mountain people. Please pay attention to this matter; it has been three years, and I still haven’t found any land. I look forward to your response.”
Rishabh Pant was born in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and moved to Delhi to pursue his cricket career. Currently, he is with the Indian team in Sri Lanka, preparing for a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka starting August 15. Pant has been struggling with form and fitness issues lately, making this series an important opportunity for him to perform strongly. He has been absent from India’s ODI and T20 teams for a significant time, with his last ODI match played on August 7, 2024, and his last T20 match against Sri Lanka on July 28, 2024.
