Residents of Moradabad Society Display Posters Declaring Completely Hindu to Prevent Home Sales to Other Communities

Moradabad, April 26: The Shri Ram Society in Lajpat Nagar, located in the Katghar police station area of Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, is currently in the spotlight for a unique reason. Residents are expressing fears about changes to the area’s demographics, prompting over two dozen individuals to put up large posters outside their homes.

These posters clearly state that the society is “completely Hindu Sanatani” and urge individuals from other religions, particularly the Muslim community, not to move in or attempt to purchase homes.

Residents claim that their park houses a temple dedicated to Lord Ram, where regular prayers and rituals are conducted. They believe that if members of other communities settle here, it could disrupt their religious activities.

Moreover, they fear that the social fabric of the area may gradually change. As a result, they have placed posters featuring images of Lord Ram outside their homes and erected a large sign reading “Hindu Society” at the main entrance. They have also called on the state government to intervene, urging the Chief Minister to address this issue.

Soni, a female resident of the society, shared her main concern regarding safety during a conversation. She expressed her desire to prevent the Muslim community from settling in the area.

Citing recent incidents and the influence of social media, she emphasized the importance of being vigilant, especially for the safety of women and children. She appealed to other Hindu families not to sell their homes to individuals from other communities.

Another resident, Sunil Rastogi, alleged that some members of the other community were attempting to buy homes in the society at inflated prices. He urged the government to enact laws that would ensure the safety and peace of majority communities in such areas. He noted that there are about 70 homes in the society, and recently, several individuals came to view properties but were collectively turned away.

Local resident Neeraj Agarwal echoed similar concerns, stating that putting up the posters had become a necessity. He mentioned that more than half of the homes in the nearby outskirts have already been purchased by the Muslim community, raising fears that the atmosphere of the society could also be affected. He stressed that ensuring no religious conversion occurs where the temple is located is a top priority.
