Release of Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashree Borases Lenin Delayed to June 26

Hyderabad, March 29: The release of the highly anticipated film ‘Lenin,’ starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashree Borase, has been postponed. The movie is now set to hit theaters on June 26, instead of the previously planned release date of May 1.

The announcement was made by the production house, Annapurna Studios, on their official X account. They explained that the release was delayed due to the upcoming film featuring mega power star Ram Charan, which is scheduled for April 30.

The makers have assured audiences that ‘Lenin’ will be a grand cinematic celebration filled with various emotions. Annapurna Studios stated, “There is a deep bond between Ram Charan and Akhil. Ram Charan has always been a great supporter of Akhil. We want both films to be released in a positive and healthy environment so that the celebration of cinema can be enjoyed together. This decision was made with full respect and honor.”

‘Lenin’ is an action entertainer, with Akhil Akkineni in the lead role. Bhagyashree Borase plays the character ‘Bharati,’ the love interest of the title character, Lenin. Initially, the role was offered to Shri Leela, but due to scheduling conflicts, she had to withdraw, leading to Bhagyashree being cast instead.

The film’s storyline is intriguing. A teaser released last year on Akhil Akkineni’s birthday showcased visuals reminiscent of the Mahabharata war. A voiceover in the teaser stated, “When one is born, they have life but no name, and when one dies, life ceases to exist, leaving only the name.” The tagline of the film reads, “There is no war more violent than love.”

The film is directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, with cinematography by Naveen Kumar, music by Thaman S, and editing by Naveen Nooli.
