A new Redmi device, believed to be the Redmi Turbo 5, has reportedly received radio certification in China, hinting that its official debut could take place before the end of 2025.

According to a new listing, a Xiaomi/Redmi smartphone with the model number 2511FRT34C has been approved by Chinese authorities. Although the certification does not reveal any technical specifications, it confirms that the device is in the final stages of testing — a common sign of an upcoming launch.

As per earlier leaks, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to feature a 6.67-inch flat OLED LTPS display offering 1.5K resolution. It will likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, promising solid upper mid-range performance.

The phone could pack a 7,000mAh+ battery, ensuring strong endurance, and run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.

Global Debut as Poco X8 Pro

Reports suggest that the Redmi Turbo 5 may launch globally under the Poco X8 Pro name. The Poco-branded version has already received approval from Europe’s EE certification platform, indicating that Xiaomi may plan a simultaneous global rollout, including markets like India.

In addition to the base model, Redmi is also said to be developing a Redmi Turbo 5 Pro, likely to debut in Q2 2025. The Pro variant is rumored to feature a 6.83-inch LTPS OLED 1.5K display, an 8,000mAh+ battery, and 100W fast charging. It may be introduced globally as the Poco F8.

With multiple certifications already surfacing, the Redmi Turbo 5 series could soon join Xiaomi’s expanding lineup of performance-focused mid-range smartphones.
