Redmi Turbo 5 Max Launch Confirmed This Month at 2,500 Yuan

Redmi has officially announced that the Redmi Turbo 5 series will launch later this month, introducing a new model named the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The device is expected to target the performance segment around 2,500 Yuan (approximately $360), though detailed specifications remain undisclosed.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max variant confirmed

The official teasers highlight the Redmi Turbo 5 Max as a higher-performance option in the series, focusing on enhanced endurance and a premium feel. Promotional images feature the word “Max” reflected as “WIN,” reflecting Redmi’s confidence in the device’s competitive edge.

Leaked reports from Chinese sources indicate that the Turbo series will receive significant upgrades this year, including wider use of metal frames, large flat displays with rounded corners, and next-generation MediaTek chipsets. Some leaks also suggest the use of ultrasonic fingerprint technology on higher-end models, along with what may be the largest battery ever seen in a Redmi phone.

The base Redmi Turbo 5 Max is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 chipset, built on a 4nm process with an all-big-core CPU design, set to debut in China on January 15. A higher-end variant, possibly named Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max, may feature the upcoming Dimensity 9500e chipset.

For markets outside China, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max and Turbo 5 Pro Max are likely to be rebranded as part of the Poco X8 series. Rumours suggest the lineup will include the Poco X8 Max (or Poco X8 Pro) and Poco X8 Pro Max, possibly excluding a standard Poco X8 model.
