Redmi Turbo 5 Max Display and Key Specs Unveiled Ahead of Launch

Redmi is set to officially launch its Turbo 5 series in China on January 29. Ahead of the event, the company has released new teasers revealing important details about the Redmi Turbo 5 Max variant.

The Turbo 5 Max will sport a large 6.83-inch LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The screen is designed to offer a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits, making it highly visible in outdoor conditions. It also supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain during low-light usage. Additionally, the phone will feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.

In terms of durability, the device will have a metal middle frame and carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring resistance to dust and high-pressure water exposure. For audio, the Turbo 5 Max will include dual 1115F symmetric stereo speakers. Connectivity is enhanced with Redmi’s T1S signal enhancement chip, enabling kilometre-level network-free communication for long-range off-grid connectivity.

The camera setup includes an OmniVision Light Fusion 600 primary sensor that offers high dynamic range imaging. The Turbo 5 Max will be available in blue, white, and orange colour options.

Powering the phone is the Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with a substantial 9,000mAh battery. The device supports 100W fast charging as well as 27W reverse charging.

The series will also feature the standard Redmi Turbo 5 model, which has a smaller 6.59-inch display and is powered by the Dimensity 8500 chipset. It is expected to have an 8,000mAh battery with 100W charging support. The standard Turbo 5 is confirmed to come in white, while other colours are yet to be disclosed.

Pricing details suggest the Turbo 5 Max will be priced around $360 in China, while the standard Turbo 5 may be available for approximately $300.
