Beijing, April 14: The highly anticipated Redmi K90 Max will officially launch on April 21 in China, as confirmed by the brand. Positioned between the existing Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max, the K90 Max promises to deliver impressive features for tech enthusiasts.
Redmi K90 Max: Key Features
The Redmi K90 Max boasts a 6.83-inch display with a remarkable 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3500 nits. This smartphone is designed for high frame rate gaming, supporting over 40 games at up to 165fps, with optimizations for darker in-game environments.
A standout feature is its innovative in-built fan-based cooling system. This system utilizes a vertical air intake fan design measuring 18.1mm, providing airflow of up to 0.42CFM. It significantly reduces temperatures quickly, ensuring optimal performance during extended gaming sessions.
The cooling mechanism operates on a suspended structure, maintaining full dust and water resistance with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, while accommodating a large battery. The fan system is engineered for durability, featuring a metal bearing structure and extensive lifespan testing.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, crafted on an advanced 3nm process. It includes an independent graphics chip for superior gaming performance. The K90 Max is expected to house a robust 8000mAh or 8,500mAh battery, supporting 100W wired charging. Additional features include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, symmetrical dual speakers with custom tuning, and a sleek industrial design with a metal frame.
Other Redmi Devices Launching on April 21
In addition to the K90 Max, the company will unveil the Redmi K Pad 2, powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip, and the Redmi Pad 2 SE with mid-range specifications. The event will also introduce the 14-inch and 16-inch Redmi Book Pro (2026).
