Mumbai, April 20: Huawei has launched a new wearable device aimed at commercial users, named the Huawei Qingyun HA5B0. This fitness tracker is designed to offer a comprehensive range of health monitoring features while maintaining a sleek and simple design.
The HA5B0 features a slim 8.99mm body and a vibrant 1.62-inch AMOLED display. It boasts a resolution of 286 × 482, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits, making it suitable for outdoor use.
Health and wellness capabilities include advanced sleep analysis and multi-dimensional emotional health monitoring. Additionally, it offers clinical features such as pulse wave-based atrial fibrillation alerts and notifications for premature heartbeats.
The device also assesses sleep apnea risk, monitors heart rate variability (HRV) throughout the day, and provides standard metrics like blood oxygen levels and heart rate.
On the fitness front, the tracker supports over 100 sports modes, including yoga, strength training, running, and skipping rope. While this aligns with offerings from competitors, the accuracy of these modes in real-world scenarios will depend on software optimizations.
Why is Huawei Qingyun HA5B0 a Commercial Tracker?
Huawei emphasizes customization, particularly for enterprise clients. The company allows partners to personalize elements such as the boot logo, watch faces, packaging, and strap colors. This indicates that the HA5B0 is designed not only for retail consumers but also for corporate and institutional use.
In terms of hardware, the bracelet includes a 9-axis inertial sensor setup, which combines an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, along with an optical heart rate sensor and an ambient light sensor. It features magnetic charging, supports Bluetooth 6.0, and is rated for 5 ATM water resistance. However, it does not include NFC support.
The device promises up to 14 days of battery life under maximum usage conditions and is compatible with both Android and iOS ecosystems.
