The world’s first smartphone featuring a 10,000mAh battery has been launched. Realme introduced the Realme P4 Power in India today, boasting a 10,000mAh battery, impressive runtime claims, and a starting price of just Rs 28,999 (approximately $285). This offers great value.
A Battery That Speaks Volumes
The standout feature of the Realme P4 Power 5G is undoubtedly its battery. With a capacity of 10,001mAh, it ranks among the largest batteries available in mainstream smartphones in India today.
Realme claims it is the first battery of over 10,000mAh to successfully pass a military-grade shock resistance test (MIL-STD-810), which is an intriguing assertion for a device intended for everyday use.
Realme has also provided some striking endurance statistics. It claims up to 932 hours of standby time, over 72 hours of talk time, around 32 hours of YouTube viewing, and more than 21 hours of navigation. Gaming performance is equally impressive, offering over 11 hours of BGMI gameplay on a single charge.
Charging capabilities have not been overlooked either. Despite the large battery, the phone supports 80W fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging for other devices.
Additionally, there is bypass charging, which allows users to game or stream while plugged in without straining the battery, and a “boost charging” feature for quicker top-ups with a long press.
Realme is also offering a four-year battery health guarantee, promising to replace the battery if its health falls below 80 percent, though this service is limited to the first-sale units.
Additional Features of the Phone
Apart from the battery, the Realme P4 Power 5G includes a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, curved edges, and peak brightness of up to 6,500 nits. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra, along with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and features a dedicated HyperVision+ AI chip.
The camera setup consists of a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP sensor, while the front features a 16MP Sony IMX480 sensor. The device runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, and Realme has promised three years of Android updates and four years of security patches.
Other specifications include IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and a sleek 9.1mm body weighing 219 grams. It is available in TransSilver, TransOrange, and TransBlue, showcasing Realme’s new TransView design language.
Pricing and Availability of Realme P4 Power
The phone starts at Rs 25,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. The 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB models will be priced at Rs 27,999 and Rs 30,999, respectively. The first sale of the Realme P4 Power is set to begin on February 5 through the e-commerce platform Flipkart.
