Ravi Kishan Visits Mahakal Temple, Awed by Divine Splendor

Ujjain, April 22: The Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain witnessed a massive turnout of devotees during the Bhasma Aarti, where they experienced the divine form of Baba Mahakal.

On Wednesday morning, Bhojpuri actor and Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan visited the temple to pay his respects. After the darshan, he addressed the controversy surrounding the eyewear company Lenskart. He stated, “India has 100 crore Hindus. If this continues, they will have to shut down their business.”

Ravi Kishan, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, seizes every opportunity to visit the 12 Jyotirlingas. He often conducts Rudrabhishek at his residence. During his visit to Ujjain, he spoke about the guidelines issued by Lenskart for its employees. The BJP MP emphasized, “People come here to earn money and do business because India is a vast market with a large consumer base. However, if such narrow-minded thinking persists, especially knowing that there are nearly 100 crore Hindus in this country, your business will ultimately fail. Others will set up shop elsewhere. Such a mindset is not conducive to doing business here.”

Following criticism on social media, the company issued an apology, affirming its respect for all religions.

The Bhasma Aarti on Wednesday morning was a sight to behold. Following the permission from Veerabhadra, the temple doors were opened, and Baba was bathed in Panchamrit. He was adorned with bhang, dried fruits, and flowers, while the trident, damru, and Sheshnag were placed on his forehead. The temple resonated with chants of “Har Har Mahadev” as devotees marveled at the divine adornment.

As usual, a long line of devotees began forming at 2 AM to participate in the Bhasma Aarti. However, due to the summer heat, changes have been made to the rules. Now, devotees can book their tickets for the Bhasma Aarti online a day in advance.
