Ramashankar Rajbhar Criticizes UP Governments Treatment of Azam Khans Family

Ramashankar Rajbhar condemns the UP governments treatment of Azam Khans family and highlights issues surrounding protests and election integrity.

New Delhi, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Ramashankar Rajbhar, a member of the Samajwadi Party, has taken aim at the Uttar Pradesh government over several pressing issues. Speaking in New Delhi, he criticized stringent character certificate requirements for protesters, alleged restrictions on train services for an upcoming rally on November 1, and the recent bail granted to Azam Khan and his son, Abdullah Azam. Rajbhar accused the government of attempting to silence dissent and obstructing opposition movements.

He expressed concern over the authoritarian approach of the government, questioning the link between employment and the right to protest. “If a worker faces injustice, can they not voice their concerns?” he asked, asserting that denying job rights due to participation in protests is unjust. He labeled these regulations as arbitrary edicts, claiming they aim to strip unemployed youth of their rights to protest.

Rajbhar also responded to allegations from KC Venugopal regarding restrictions on trains for the November rally, asserting that the government is fearful of opposition movements. He pointed out that the government preemptively organized a march upon learning of the India coalition’s plans, attempting to hinder public access to Delhi. Despite potential disruptions to transport services, he believes public outrage against the government will persist.

Regarding the recent bail of Azam Khan and his son, Rajbhar alleged discriminatory treatment against Khan’s family. He claimed that the government engages in actions against Muslims to consolidate Hindu unity, and he predicted that the truth behind the cases against Khan would emerge when power changes hands. Rajbhar expressed confidence that the courts will deliver justice in these matters.

He also commented on the recent MLC election results, questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s social media posts about his own seat. Rajbhar highlighted the achievements of the Samajwadi Party in Ayodhya and Lucknow while criticizing parties that politicize religion. He argued that those involved in financial misconduct cannot truly represent Hindu values.

In response to comments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the election results, Rajbhar suggested that if ballots were used instead of electronic voting machines (EVMs), the Samajwadi Party would have won all seats. He raised concerns about irregularities in voter registration and counting processes, asserting that, without such alleged misconduct, the party would have claimed victory.

On the results from Varanasi and remarks from Akhilesh Yadav, Rajbhar noted a conflict between the governments in Delhi and Lucknow, likening their relationship to that of two competing engines. He confidently predicted a Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh by 2027.

Lastly, Rajbhar confirmed that leaders from the Samajwadi Party would participate in a mock parliament organized at Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence. He emphasized the importance of discussing public issues when elected representatives fail to do so, stating that opposition leaders will address pressing questions affecting the populace during this event.
