Noida, April 10: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh targeted Pakistan on Friday, stating that some of its youth are misusing their energy to promote terrorism.
While addressing the convocation ceremony at Noida International University, he remarked, “When Indian youth channel their energy in the right direction, they develop technologies that improve the world. In contrast, some youth in Pakistan are investing this energy into terrorism.”
He emphasized that young people are an inexhaustible source of energy, which forms the foundation of creation and development. He warned, “If this energy goes astray, it can lead to destruction.”
The Defense Minister highlighted the role of India’s rich cultural heritage in guiding youth towards the right path. He urged young people to recognize their potential and pursue their dreams with dedication.
“Appreciate the beauty of the world, chase your dreams, and enjoy life, but never forget your duties and responsibilities. This balance is the key to true happiness and success,” he stated.
Rajnath Singh also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting that India has become the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem. He mentioned that the semiconductor sector is advancing rapidly, and the bio-economy has grown over 16 times in the past 11 years.
In another development, the Defense Minister expressed deep sorrow over the passing of retired Colonel Sonam Wangchuk, a Mahavir Chakra awardee. He described Colonel Wangchuk as a brave and highly respected officer of the Indian Army, commending his valor, leadership, and dedication.
Rajnath Singh remarked that Colonel Wangchuk, a pride of Ladakh, demonstrated indomitable courage during Operation Vijay in the Kargil War, and his legacy will inspire future generations.
