Ashok Pandit Critiques Naseeruddin Shahs Recent Comments, Calls for Medical Help

Filmmaker Ashok Pandit criticizes Naseeruddin Shahs statements, suggesting he needs medical assistance due to his behavior.

Mumbai, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Filmmaker Ashok Pandit has launched a fresh attack on veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, following the latter’s recent comments against the government. Pandit accused Shah of displaying “uncontrolled” behavior and suggested that he may require medical assistance.

In a recent video, Shah donned a badge reading “mental naxal” while criticizing the government. Pandit questioned Shah’s language, conduct, and political views in a special interview. He expressed, “I am not surprised or shocked, as Naseeruddin Shah has been using foul language for over a year now. He has lost all decorum. His behavior resembles that of a thug. The way he addresses people and speaks on camera is not limited to just the Prime Minister.”

Pandit elaborated, stating, “His conduct has become completely unruly. Even thugs do not behave this way, and he is considered an educated individual. I am unsure if he is truly educated, as his mannerisms and choice of words reflect his frustration.”

He further remarked, “It seems like his mental balance has deteriorated. I am confident that this person needs medical help. He is not normal, as evidenced by the anger on his face and the way he speaks. His frustration stems from the success of films he disapproves of.”

Pandit pointed out Shah’s unease with the success of films like “The Kerala Story” and “The Kashmir Files,” suggesting that Shah feels insecure due to a shift in cinematic trends that challenge his outdated views.

He noted, “People have become more open-minded regarding subjects, films, and art. This change in mindset, particularly since PM Modi’s rise to power, has made him feel insecure. Yes, Mr. Naseeruddin Shah, you are part of the ‘tukde-tukde gang.’ I am stating this directly to you. You are connected to an ‘urban naxal’ gang and are indeed an ‘urban naxal’ yourself, as you disparage others without cause.”

Pandit criticized Shah’s disparagement of fellow actors like Anupam Kher, Shah Rukh Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan, suggesting that Shah perceives himself as perfect. “This reflects a psychological issue. Please get yourself checked and seek treatment. It could help you, otherwise, the situation might worsen.”

He concluded by stating, “Initially, I thought I shouldn’t respond, but this has gone too far. You are disparaging a political party; your activism is entirely one-sided.”

Discussing the Bengal elections, Pandit questioned Shah’s comments about the BJP’s victory, urging him to reflect on the violence against Hindus in Bengal. “Have you ever condemned the genocide of Hindus? Surely you are aware, yet you remain silent.”

Pandit emphasized, “Hindus had to migrate to Assam due to the oppressive regime of the Mamata government, which was anti-Hindu and anti-India. This is why people voted them out. I wanted to convey this to you. Please seek treatment. If you are using any substances, please stop. You will be fine.”
