BJP Lawmaker Calls for Boycott of Artists Making Anti-National Statements

BJPs Bal Mukund Acharya urges public to boycott artists who make anti-national remarks, criticizing Congress in the process.

Jaipur, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : BJP legislator Bal Mukund Acharya has urged the public to boycott film artists who make anti-national statements. He emphasized that films, advertisements, and products associated with such artists should be rejected, particularly those who incite unrest and speak against the nation.

In a recent statement, Acharya criticized Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and others for their alleged derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s family. He asserted that any complaints against IAS officer Shikhar Agarwal would be investigated according to established procedures, ensuring accountability for wrongdoing.

Acharya appealed to the public, stating that artists who gain support and respect from the people should refrain from making statements against the nation. Instead, he believes they should inspire youth and encourage contributions to national development, rather than fostering chaos. He called for a collective effort to avoid watching films by artists who align with anti-national forces and to refrain from supporting their advertisements.

He further condemned the disrespect shown towards the Prime Minister’s family, naming Congress figures like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Robert Vadra. Acharya urged Congress to engage in self-reflection, criticizing them for their derogatory comments about Modi and emphasizing that the public has elected him based on the Gujarat model of development.

In addressing Congress’s criticisms of electoral institutions, he pointed out that these bodies conduct elections for all parties, including Congress, which has also achieved victories. He advised the party to focus on addressing its electoral losses rather than casting blame.

Acharya also criticized Congress for its stance on the Ram Temple issue, accusing them of opposing related initiatives. He urged Congress to shift its political focus towards issues that contribute to national development.

Regarding the potential action against IAS officer Shikhar Agarwal, Acharya confirmed that any complaints would undergo investigation through proper channels. He described the Rajasthan BJP government as one committed to zero tolerance for misconduct, citing past suspensions of officials based on complaints during Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s tenure.

In response to concerns raised by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot about rising crime rates in Jaipur following a burglary at Acharya’s residence, he claimed ignorance of the incident. However, he defended the BJP government’s record over the last two and a half years, asserting that it has effectively controlled crime and addressed issues of theft and mafia activity. He expressed confidence that the government would continue to maintain law and order in Rajasthan.

Acharya concluded by accusing Congress of attempting to strengthen its position through false allegations, rather than addressing corruption issues from its own administration.
