Padmini Kolhapure Makes a Comeback with Horror Film Jhaad Phook

Actress Padmini Kolhapure returns to acting in horror film Jhaad Phook, expressing doubts about watching her own scary movie.

Mumbai, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Padmini Kolhapure is set to make her return to the film industry with the horror movie “Jhaad Phook.” The actress shared that the film’s storyline was so frightening that she questioned whether she would be able to watch it herself.

In a recent interview, Kolhapure discussed her experiences working in the horror genre, her thoughts on superstition, and her connections with the film’s cast. Describing “Jhaad Phook” as her second horror film, she recalled her previous project, “Gehraai.”

Kolhapure noted the strong beliefs many Indians have in supernatural elements. She praised the film’s director, Rajan, for his commendable approach to storytelling. Upon hearing the film’s concept, she candidly told him, “I don’t think I will be able to watch this film.”

She also spoke about sharing the screen with veteran actor Yashpal Sharma, commending his dedication and professionalism. Kolhapure emphasized that learning is a continuous process in acting, regardless of one’s experience. She remarked, “I believe a person always learns. Juniors learn from seniors, and seniors learn from juniors. During this film, I learned a lot. Yashpal’s character is excellent, and his commitment is remarkable. He is a very professional and versatile actor.”

Kolhapure shared insights about her character, Kamini, and her collaboration with co-stars Sumbul Touqueer and Harsh Rajput. Director Rajan explained his choice of Kolhapure for the role, stating, “I am a huge fan of Padmini. Her innocence and beauty set her apart. When she appears on screen, people say, ‘Wow!’ As for Kamini’s character and its various shades, I don’t think anyone could play it better than her.”
