Jaipur, March 18: Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a sharp attack on the Congress party regarding the issue of gas shortages. He raised concerns about whether this problem is being unfairly politicized.
The Chief Minister stated, “I am surprised that when Congress members raise this issue, they limit it to mere politics. Is the gas crisis confined to Rajasthan? Did Rajasthan create this problem? Or is it a national issue?”
He emphasized that the state government acted promptly to prevent any inconvenience to citizens. “We will not allow any citizen to face difficulties. The day this issue arose, we convened a meeting and issued clear directives to ensure there are no gas-related issues in Rajasthan,” he asserted.
Expressing confidence in the central government, Sharma mentioned that the situation is under control. He noted that previously, the state maintained a five-day stock of gas, which has now been increased to eight days, with plans for further increases in the future.
Targeting the opposition directly, he accused Congress leaders of tarnishing the country’s image. “Whether in India or abroad, Congress members are intent on damaging the country’s reputation. When I speak the truth, they become agitated. They should understand the public’s pain and the efforts being made for their welfare,” he added.
The Chief Minister was addressing the ‘Entrepreneur Dialogue’ event held at the Rajasthan International Centre. He criticized the previous government for lacking a clear policy framework, stating that youth were misled, entrepreneurs faced obstacles, and allocated central funds for schemes were wasted due to corruption.
Sharma reiterated his commitment to ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply, stating that power and water are essential for development. “Our goal is to ensure 24-hour electricity supply to farmers and industries by 2027,” he concluded.
