
Jaipur, March 25: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the importance of religious infrastructure on Tuesday. He stated that the Rajasthan government is prioritizing the development of religious sites across the state. He further noted that adherence to religion is essential in all areas of life, including governance and public service.
He highlighted that no task can be effectively accomplished without religion, and true success can only be achieved by following the path of righteousness.
Sharma addressed the concluding ceremony of the Shri Lalita Mahayagya and the consecration ceremony of the Devi Saraswati Temple held at the Kanana Shri Math in Balotara.
He mentioned that such religious events strengthen social harmony and connect the younger generation to their rich cultural heritage.
Pointing out the religious significance of Balotara, he stated that the pilgrimage sites here are guardians of the state’s glorious traditions, and the Kanana Math possesses a profound spiritual aura.
The Chief Minister remarked that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has witnessed significant changes in its cultural and religious landscape.
He referenced important initiatives such as the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi, the Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain, and the expansion of facilities at major pilgrimage sites under the Prasad scheme.
He also mentioned that the Senior Citizens Pilgrimage Scheme provides free pilgrimage opportunities for senior citizens, while the Chief Minister’s Developing Village and Ward Scheme supports the organized development of religious sites statewide.
Minister of Devasthan, Joraram Kumawat, highlighted that the state government is actively promoting Sanatan traditions and cultural heritage. He stated that celebrating Rajasthan Day on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada reflects this commitment.
Mahant Parshuram Giri Maharaj welcomed the Chief Minister and praised the government’s welfare initiatives.
He noted that such religious gatherings symbolize the essence of Sanatan culture and Akhand Bharat, emphasizing India’s role in promoting global peace and harmony.
Earlier, the Chief Minister completed the concluding ceremony of the year-long Shri Lalita Mahayagya, presenting traditional gifts to saints and mahants from across the country.
