Rajasthan Schools to Empower Teachers and Students with AI Integration

Mumbai, March 18: Rajasthan’s Chief Secretary, V. Srinivasan, stated that the thoughtful use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the education system can significantly strengthen basic education in government schools.

He was addressing a dialogue program on “The Role of AI in Rajasthan’s Education,” organized by the Sampark Foundation at the Rajasthan International Centre.

Srinivasan emphasized AI’s potential to transform teaching methods, assist in making informed decisions in education, and enhance overall learning outcomes. He highlighted the state government’s commitment to adopting innovative approaches that empower teachers, increase student engagement, and ensure greater accountability in the education system.

He further noted that AI technology provides a robust platform to unify teaching methods and policies, leading to improved educational outcomes for children.

Kris Kunal, Secretary of the School Education Department, underscored the growing importance of AI in school education. He mentioned that if technology is tailored to meet the needs of teachers and students, it can significantly aid efforts to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

Encouraging teachers to embrace new technologies, he stated that educators should not only use AI tools but also guide students to think critically, moving beyond merely seeking answers to asking meaningful questions.

During a panel discussion, officials from the Department of School Education and experts from education, technology, and policy shared their insights on the role of AI in government schools.

This event was held to commemorate 20 years of work by the Sampark Foundation in the field of technology-based education.
