Discover In-Flight Yoga: A New Routine for Comfortable Travel

New Delhi, April 15: The Ministry of AYUSH has introduced a simple and effective way to combat fatigue, stiffness, and stress during long flights. They have developed a five-minute in-flight yoga routine that passengers can perform while seated.

This in-flight yoga includes light exercises and breathing techniques. These practices enhance blood circulation, reduce stress, and alleviate discomfort associated with long journeys. The ministry believes that these easy yoga exercises can make long flights more comfortable and health-promoting, particularly beneficial for frequent travelers.

Recently, the ministry recommended specific yoga postures for in-flight practice, highlighting the benefits of Sheetali Pranayama. This simple breathing technique helps reduce travel fatigue, calm the mind, and regulate body temperature.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, these exercises are designed with passengers’ comfort and health in mind during lengthy flights. Just a few minutes of mindful breathing and light exercise can leave travelers feeling refreshed.

However, some precautions are necessary. The ministry has issued an important disclaimer, stating that practicing yoga on a flight is entirely at the passenger’s discretion. It is advisable to consult a health expert before starting any yoga or physical activity, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or are pregnant.

Additionally, always prioritize your safety and that of fellow passengers. Never block aisles or emergency exits. Avoid movement when the seatbelt sign is on or during turbulence. Always follow the cabin crew’s instructions and adhere to in-flight safety protocols.
