Rajasthan Royals Aim to Halt Punjab Kings Winning Streak in IPL 2026

New Chandigarh, April 28: The 40th match of IPL 2026 is set to take place between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium. Fans are hopeful that Rajasthan Royals will succeed in stopping Punjab Kings’ winning momentum.

A fan from Jaipur expressed confidence in Rajasthan Royals’ ability to defeat PBKS. Another fan voiced optimism that Ryan Parag, who has struggled this season, will deliver an outstanding performance against Punjab Kings. They believe Parag will score a century, leading Rajasthan Royals to a spectacular victory.

On the other hand, a fan supporting Punjab Kings stated that the team will continue their winning streak against Rajasthan Royals. They noted that after PBKS’s impressive win over Delhi Capitals in their last match, it seems unlikely that any team can defeat them this season. Another supporter mentioned that under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy, PBKS will remain unbeaten and clinch the IPL 2026 title.

Punjab Kings have had an exceptional performance in IPL 2026, winning 6 out of 7 matches, with one match ending in a no-result. They currently sit at the top of the points table with 13 points. In their last game against Delhi Capitals, PBKS made history by successfully chasing a target of 265 runs. Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have consistently provided solid starts, while Cooper Connolly and captain Shreyas Iyer have also contributed significantly with the bat.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have won 5 out of their 8 matches this season, suffering defeats in 3. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been in fine form with the bat. The team’s pace attack, led by Jofra Archer, has also made a significant impact this season, with Archer taking 13 wickets in 8 matches. Nandre Burger has also performed well with the new ball, while Ravi Bishnoi has excelled as a spinner, claiming 11 wickets in the same number of matches.
