Leaders Across India Celebrate Victory of Good Over Evil on Dussehra

Indian leaders emphasize unity and the triumph of good over evil during Dussehra celebrations across the country.

New Delhi, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : On the occasion of Dussehra, various leaders from across India, including Bihar’s Minister Vijay Sinha and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, extended their warm wishes to citizens. They highlighted that this festival symbolizes the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness, good over evil, and truth over falsehood.

Vijay Sinha remarked, “The triumph of righteousness signifies the end of attachment and the destruction of pride. Such tendencies arise repeatedly in the world, but divine forces always prevail over ego, greed, and desire. Lord Ram fought against arrogance, tyranny, and unrighteousness, ultimately establishing dharma. This serves as an inspiration for all descendants of India. This is the truth, the eternal, and the essence of our culture.”

In Amritsar, Charanjit Singh Channi addressed a large gathering, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to partake in the Dussehra celebrations. “I wish all Punjabis and citizens across the country a very happy Dussehra. This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil and truth over falsehood,” he said.

Minister Jogaram Patel emphasized the cultural significance of Dussehra, stating, “This festival teaches us to eradicate all forms of evil, social injustices, pride, and corruption that exist in our surroundings. We must renounce everything that resembles Ravana.”

Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria noted, “The burning of Ravana symbolizes the victory of truth over falsehood and justice over injustice. We must conquer our inner Ravana, which represents our vices and egotism. Only then will Dussehra hold true meaning for us.”

BJP leader Ravinder Raina added, “This sacred day reminds us that no matter how powerful evil may seem, its end is always disastrous. The victory of truth, goodness, and righteousness is assured. Dussehra conveys this vital message.”

Ashok Goyal Devaraha from the Keshav Ramleela Committee shared that they have been staging Lord Ram’s play for 15 years. On Dussehra, they burn effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnath, as well as smaller effigies representing societal issues. This year, they are burning a cockroach effigy as a symbol of filth.

He criticized opposition leaders for being disconnected from public issues and urged them to join in the fight against cleanliness. “For the past year and a half, they have been struggling with their defeats, which is reflected in their statements. I hope they gain wisdom,” he concluded.
