
Jaipur, March 20: The Rajasthan government has announced the transfer of 25 IAS and 9 IPS officers, resulting in significant changes across key departments.
Senior IAS officer Alok Gupta has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Urban Development and Housing (UDH) department. He has been relieved from his position as the Chairman of the Pollution Control Board and will also take on the responsibilities of Principal Secretary of UDH and Chairman of the Housing Board.
Ajitabh Sharma, who was serving as the Principal Secretary of the Energy Department, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Revenue Board in Ajmer. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s ACS, Akhil Arora, has been relieved of his duties in the Water Supply Department. Similarly, Aparna Arora has been moved from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment to become the ACS of the Mines and Petroleum Department. Shreya Guha, the ACS of the Rural Development Department, has been appointed as the Director General of the HCM Rajasthan State Institute of Public Administration (HCM RIPA) and Managing Director of the Rajasthan Financial Corporation.
ACS Praveen Gupta has been given additional responsibilities for the Public Works Department, as well as the Youth Affairs and Sports Department. However, he has been relieved of his duties related to Tourism, Archaeology, and the Amer Development Authority. Rajesh Yadav has been appointed as the Secretary of the School Education and Language Department, replacing his previous position at HCM RIPA. Hemant Gera has been moved from the Revenue Board Chairman position to become the Secretary of the Water Supply Department.
Neeraj Ke Pawan, Secretary of the Sports Department, has been transferred and appointed as the Director General of the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute. This transfer comes amid ongoing discussions regarding sports administration in the state. Meanwhile, Purn Chandra Kishan, who had been awaiting posting orders since returning from central deputation on December 29, 2025, has now been appointed as the Secretary of the Labour and Factory Department, along with additional responsibilities as Secretary of Health Services (ECS).
In a significant move, Aarti Dogra has been assigned expanded responsibilities in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Chairperson of the state’s DISCOM, Aarti will now also serve as the Secretary of the Energy Department and Chairperson of the Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation. These changes were made following Ajitabh Sharma’s transfer.
Poonam, the Divisional Commissioner of Jaipur, has been transferred and appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Women and Child Development. V. Sarwan Kumar, the former Secretary of Science and Technology, has been appointed as the new Divisional Commissioner of Jaipur.
