Rajasthan Cricket Association Elections Imminent, New Coordinator Signals Major Reforms

Jaipur, March 31: The newly appointed coordinator of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad-hoc committee, Mohit Yadav, has indicated significant reforms, stating that the long-overdue elections for the RCA will be conducted as soon as possible.

Yadav emphasized that he will fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the state government with utmost seriousness and commitment. “Our primary focus is to enhance both the functioning and direction of the RCA. Positive results will be visible soon,” he stated.

Addressing the controversy with former coordinator Deendayal Kumawat, Yadav acknowledged their differences but stressed that it should not adversely affect cricket-related activities. “Our working styles were different, but our goal remains the same. Some objectives were not achieved earlier, but now, with our new team, we will surely accomplish those goals,” he added.

The newly formed ad-hoc committee includes Mohit Yadav, Dhananjay Singh Khinsar, Ashish Tiwari, Arisht Singhvi, and Arjun Beniwal, all of whom have assumed their responsibilities. Yadav highlighted that conducting elections for the RCA will be his top priority, as these elections have been pending for nearly two years. “We will expedite this process to ensure that the association receives a democratically elected leadership,” he stated.

Yadav also expressed dissatisfaction that Rajasthan was allocated only four matches in this season’s IPL, deeming it insufficient. He assured that better plans would be made to secure more matches for the state next year, and efforts will be made to host the Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) at the local level.

Senior committee member and president of the Jodhpur District Cricket Association, Dhananjay Singh Khinsar, expressed full confidence in the new leadership. He further stated, “Under Mohit Yadav’s leadership, we are confident that the elections will be completed soon, marking the beginning of a new chapter.”

With the formation of the new ad-hoc committee, hopes for timely elections and improved cricket administration in Rajasthan have risen, potentially ushering in a new era for the sport in the state.
