Jaipur, June 17: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved several significant decisions aimed at enhancing the state’s mining sector, judicial infrastructure, and disaster preparedness. He has also instructed officials to implement these decisions within the stipulated time frame.
According to an official statement from the Chief Minister’s office, these decisions are expected to boost economic activities, improve governance, and enhance citizen safety mechanisms in the state.
To promote mineral exploration, Chief Minister Bhajanlal has granted exploration licenses for ‘Rare Earth Elements’ (REE) minerals over an area of 207.63 square kilometers in the Navatala and Devgarh villages of Balotra district. This license has been awarded to the Central Mining Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI).
This mineral block falls within the Pachpadra and Shergarh regions and is anticipated to foster the development of mineral resources and create employment opportunities in the area. Rare Earth Elements are strategically important minerals used in electronics, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and defense manufacturing.
The Chief Minister has also approved the establishment of a special court for cases investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The aim is to strengthen the judicial system and ensure the swift resolution of cases related to national security and other investigations conducted by the agency.
The government stated that this special court will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal processes in such cases.
Additionally, under the budget announcements for 2025-26, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved the formation of ‘Civil Defense Corps’ in eight newly established districts. These districts include Balotra, Didwana-Kuchaman, Phalodi, Salumber, Khetri-Tijara, Deeg, Kotputli-Bahrod, and Beawar.
According to the government, this initiative will strengthen disaster management, citizen safety, and emergency response systems in these districts by promoting citizen participation and improving preparedness for natural disasters and other emergencies.
The Chief Minister has directed officials to ensure the effective and timely implementation of all approved decisions so that the benefits reach the public as soon as possible.
