Raj Thackeray Meets CM Devendra Fadnavis, Urges MPSC Students to Remain Patient

Mumbai, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray recently met with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to address concerns regarding alleged irregularities in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams. During the meeting, Thackeray expressed his positive outlook on the discussions he had with the Chief Minister.

Thackeray took to social media platform ‘X’ on Friday, stating, “Jai Maharashtra.” He recalled his recent encounter with protesting MPSC students in Pune on October 5, assuring them that he would relay their concerns and legitimate demands to the Chief Minister. He expressed sorrow at witnessing young men and women, who have left their homes and families, working hard for job opportunities.

Following their discussions, Thackeray noted that he found Fadnavis to be equally optimistic about the situation. He expressed hope that good news regarding employment for MPSC students would emerge in the coming days and urged students to maintain their patience.

Students in Maharashtra have been vocal about their frustrations regarding alleged irregularities in the MPSC exams, recently staging a significant protest in Pune. In response to the growing unrest among aspirants, CM Fadnavis formally recommended the establishment of a high-level inquiry committee to Governor Jagdish Mukhi on Monday. This committee will investigate the current and former members and chairpersons of the MPSC under Article 317 of the Constitution.

Fadnavis proposed that a retired High Court judge head the committee, which is expected to submit a comprehensive report within three months to determine further action regarding the allegations. The Chief Minister emphasized that a strict process must be followed to remove MPSC officials holding constitutional positions.
