R. Madhavan Shares Rain Story from Dhurandhar Shoot

Mumbai, February 2: Bollywood star R. Madhavan, known for his powerful acting, shared a memorable and amusing experience from the shoot of the film ‘Dhurandhar’. The story dates back to the early days of filming when unexpected rain disrupted the director Aditya Dhar’s carefully planned schedule.

Madhavan posted a video on Instagram explaining how rain started as soon as he arrived on set, turning the first shot of the film into something special. In the video, he says, “Beautiful Leh and Ladakh. This day was supposed to be sunny, but it seems wherever I go, I bring rain with me.”

He added, “Aditya always wanted this day to have sunshine and a clear blue sky to highlight the beauty and contrast. But because of me, it rained, and that’s why they call me the ‘Rainman’ on set.”

Madhavan further reflected, “Every time I come to the set, there’s heavy rain. But this scene with grey skies and rain worked perfectly for the first shot. I believe sometimes what happens is exactly what should happen because there’s a bigger plan behind it.”

The film ‘Dhurandhar’ features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Rampal alongside Madhavan.

The story revolves around an undercover Indian spy infiltrating criminal networks in Karachi and political forces in Pakistan. The mission is to identify and eliminate terrorist groups plotting attacks on India.

The narrative is inspired by real events such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and Pakistan’s Operation Lyari.
