Punjab University Offers Job Opportunities with Walk-In Interviews on November 6
Punjab University is hiring for multiple positions, including research associates, with walk-in interviews scheduled for November 6.
Chandigarh, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Chandigarh is buzzing with opportunities as Punjab University announces job openings for various positions related to short-term research staff. These roles are part of the Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) project and the Center for Global Equality in Cambridge, UK.
The university is looking to fill eight positions across different projects. For Project I, which focuses on transport decarbonization and evidence from Chandigarh’s EV registration quota, there is one opening for a Research Assistant/Junior Research Fellow (80 days) and two positions for Research Assistant/Junior Research Interns (24 days total).
In Project II, aimed at promoting EV transition and planning for sustainable energy at the city level, there is one Research Associate (Post-Doc level) position (100 days), one Research Assistant/Junior Research Fellow (120 days), and three Research Assistant/Junior Research Interns (45 days total).
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. The daily salary for the Research Associate is ₹1,500, for the Research Fellow it is ₹1,200, and for the Intern, it is ₹500.
To qualify for the Research Associate role, candidates must have a PhD in Science/Social Science with expertise in open-source energy modeling systems (Oasmosis) and knowledge of climate, land-use, energy, and water systems (CLEWS). For the Research Fellow position, a Master’s in Public Administration/Management/Commerce is required, along with familiarity with Oasmosis and CLEWS. Intern candidates must also hold a Master’s in Public Administration/Management/Commerce.
The walk-in interviews will take place on November 6 at 1 PM in Classroom Number 3, Department of Public Administration, First Floor, Arts Block 3, Sector 14, Punjab University, Chandigarh – 160014. Candidates are advised to arrive on time and bring a hard copy of their filled application form along with original and photocopies of all relevant documents.
