Kolkata, April 7: The match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on Monday was interrupted by rain. Both teams received one point each, allowing Punjab Kings to rise to the top of the standings, while KKR finally opened their account.
In the 12th match of IPL 2026, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the team’s start was disappointing, with Finn Allen dismissed for just 6 runs off 7 balls. Cameron Green continued his poor form, scoring only 4 runs for the third consecutive match. After 3.2 overs, KKR had lost 2 wickets for just 25 runs, with Punjab Kings’ bowlers dominating the game.
