Prodyut Bordoloi Commits to BJP Leadership Ahead of Assam Elections

Guwahati, March 21: Prodyut Bordoloi, who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), announced on Saturday his commitment to work diligently for the party. He plans to seek guidance from senior leaders as he prepares to contest the upcoming Assam Assembly elections from the Dispur seat.

Addressing party workers at the BJP office in Hengrabari, Bordoloi stated, “I will work with complete sincerity for the BJP. The workers of Dispur should guide me at every step and help me move forward.”

He further expressed that as he embarks on this new political journey, he will seek the blessings and guidance of senior leaders Jayanta Das and Atul Bora.

Bordoloi’s remarks come shortly after his formal induction into the BJP, marking a significant political shift ahead of the high-profile Assam Assembly elections.

As a former Congress leader and a prominent political figure in the state, Bordoloi’s entry into the BJP is viewed as a strategic move by the ruling party to strengthen its hold on key constituencies.

The BJP has nominated Bordoloi as a candidate for the Dispur Assembly seat, one of the most crucial seats in the state, known for its competitive elections.

Party sources believe that his experience and organizational skills could enhance the BJP’s position in the region.

In his address, Bordoloi emphasized the need for unity and collective effort within the party. He mentioned his intention to collaborate with grassroots workers to bolster the BJP’s base in Dispur.

His joining the BJP has drawn sharp reactions from opposition parties, particularly Congress, which labeled it as a personal decision. Meanwhile, BJP leaders welcomed him, highlighting the significance of his contributions in the upcoming elections.

With the election campaign heating up, Bordoloi’s statements indicate that he is fully prepared to actively engage with voters in Dispur.
