Regarding relief efforts, he mentioned that the Congress-led state government is making every effort to assist affected families and coordinate relief and rehabilitation work. He called upon Congress workers and volunteers to provide all possible support to officials and impacted communities.
These statements came as continuous rainfall has led to floods and landslides in several districts. After the heavy rains, rivers and streams have overflowed, low-lying areas have been submerged, and road connectivity has been disrupted in many places.
Authorities are closely monitoring potential landslide-prone hilly areas.
