Uttarakhand CM Criticizes Congress as Dangerous for Public and Harmful for Nation
Uttarakhands CM Pushkar Singh Dhami criticizes Congress, labeling it dangerous in power and harmful out of it, ahead of upcoming elections.

Dehradun, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed strong criticism of the Congress party, labeling it “dangerous” for the public while in power and “harmful” for the country when out of it. His remarks came during a press briefing after the “Prime Minister-Kisan Utsav Day” event in Dehradun.
Dhami’s comments were directed at opposition parties, particularly in light of an upcoming rally organized by the India alliance on November 1 at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan. This rally aims to address alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of the voter list, led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The Chief Minister referred to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who often made similar remarks about the Congress party. He questioned the timing of the opposition’s protests against the SIR process, noting that it coincides with the festive season in the country.
“Navratri has ended, and Diwali is being celebrated. Yet, opposition parties are staging protests and spreading misinformation regarding the removal of names from the voter list,” Dhami stated. He raised concerns about why an ineligible person should remain on the voter list and how one individual could register to vote at three different locations.
Dhami accused the opposition of creating a climate of chaos through these issues, potentially harming businesses and the general public. He also warned against “foreign forces” attempting to instigate a change in power through disorder.
In related news, he announced that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Uttarakhand on November 6. During his visit, Shah will participate in a flag hoisting ceremony with the Uttarakhand police, along with other planned events, including a large public gathering.
Earlier on Friday, while addressing the “PM-Kisan Utsav Day,” Dhami highlighted the historical significance of the PM-Kisan scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, which aims to benefit farmers. He criticized previous governments for failing to honor farmers’ hard work and the respect they deserve.
