New Delhi, June 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit proverb on the social media platform ‘X’ on Tuesday. In his post, he stated, “When our resolve, thoughts, and emotions align, every endeavor becomes successful. Let us move forward in unity and achieve every goal for India together.”
He also shared the Sanskrit verse: “समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी समानं मनः सह चित्तमेषाम्. समानं मन्त्रमभि मन्त्रये वः समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि॥”
The Hindi translation of this verse conveys that our resolutions should be the same, our assembly unified, and there should be complete equality in our hearts and thoughts. With this sense of unity, I offer my contribution so that we can work together and achieve success.
On the previous day, Monday, the Prime Minister wrote in a post on ‘X’, “Respecting the diverse cultures of the world fosters trust and cooperation among people. This strengthens mutual understanding and brotherhood.”
PM Modi shared another Sanskrit verse: “देशाचारान् समयाञ्जातिधर्मान् बुभूषते यस्तु परावरज्ञः. स तत्र तत्राधिगतः सदैव महाजनस्याधिपत्यं करोति॥”
The Hindi meaning of this verse indicates that a person who understands various cultures, traditions, and social norms develops a sense of right and wrong. Such a person earns respect wherever they go and establishes their influence among the esteemed.
Earlier, on June 26, the Prime Minister had shared another proverb on ‘X’. He posted the Sanskrit verse: “सङ्गच्छध्वं संवदध्वं, सं वो मनांसि जानताम्. देवा भागं यथा पूर्वे, सञ्जानाना उपासते॥” The Hindi translation of this verse emphasizes that we should walk together, speak in harmony, and align our minds and thoughts. Just as the deities of ancient times acted in unison to fulfill their duties, we too should always work with unity and goodwill.
