Uttar Pradesh Ministers Claim Victory in MLC Elections, Target Opposition Parties

Uttar Pradesh ministers assert BJPs win in MLC elections, criticizing opposition parties and urging trust in democratic institutions.

Ballia, October 28 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh ministers have voiced confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) success in the ongoing MLC elections, amidst political tensions with opposition parties. In Ballia, Minister Daya Shankar Singh proclaimed that the BJP is winning across the state, emphasizing their victories in all four seats in the western region.

Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, speaking from Ambedkar Nagar, made serious allegations against certain clerics, including Maulana Arshad Madani. He claimed these clerics do not prioritize the welfare of the Muslim community and oppose initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, and employment opportunities for Muslims.

Rajbhar accused these clerics of uniting Muslims in support of the Congress and Samajwadi Party, while simultaneously instilling fear by invoking the BJP’s name. He highlighted a troubling decline in Muslim representation in government jobs, which has plummeted from 38% post-independence to less than 1% today, attributing the blame either to the BJP or to the clerics allied with Congress and the Samajwadi Party.

Additionally, Rajbhar criticized opposition parties, including Congress, the Samajwadi Party, and Shiv Sena, for fostering chaos in the country and attempting to tarnish the government’s image. In response, the BJP has initiated a nationwide foot march to counter these narratives.

Minister Narendra Kumar Kashyap urged Samajwadi Party leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav, to trust democratic institutions and the Election Commission. He suggested that instead of intimidating their own workers, the Samajwadi Party should focus on strengthening their faith in democracy.

Kashyap asserted that the Samajwadi Party’s electoral defeats stem from their own shortcomings, rather than external factors like the Election Commission or law enforcement. He expressed confidence that the electorate understands these dynamics, indicating a bleak political future for the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
