Ayodhya, March 7: President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the third floor of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on March 19. A grand event is being organized for this occasion, and preparations are in full swing. During the ceremony, President Murmu will participate as the chief guest, conducting prayers and rituals.
This inauguration is particularly significant as it coincides with the Hindu New Year, known as ‘Vikram Samvat’ (Chaitra Shukla Pratipada). On this auspicious day, Ayodhya will be filled with the spirit of Lord Ram. According to the trust, special Vedic rituals will be performed, and the sacred Ram Yantra and Ram Patta will be formally installed in the temple premises.
Last month, Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, informed reporters that President Murmu will spend approximately four hours in the temple complex on March 19. During her visit, she will honor around 400 workers who contributed to the temple’s construction.
Mishra stated, “The Martyrs Memorial and the temporary Ram Lalla temple are being developed into permanent memorials. The goal is to complete these construction works by the end of April.” He added that historical sites within the temple complex will be preserved and transformed into inspirational spots for devotees.
Regarding the progress of the Ram Katha Museum, Mishra mentioned that 20 galleries are being created, including a state-of-the-art 3D Hanuman gallery, where devotees can experience the Ram Katha stories through 3D technology for 12 minutes.
He also noted that the script for the museum’s content is being prepared, and it may open to a limited number of devotees after September.
Following President Murmu’s visit on March 19, a pass system will be implemented to allow devotees access to various parts of the temple complex. Plans are in place to enhance the experience for visitors in the coming months, considering the pace of construction and the expansion of facilities.
After the completion of the temple construction, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust celebrated a flag hoisting festival. Now, the trust will honor the artisans and workers who contributed to the temple’s construction, with the number of honorees set at 400, although this number may increase.
