New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : Concerns have been raised by various political leaders regarding a shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff. Shaina NC, spokesperson for the Shiv Sena, condemned the attack as cowardly and demanded severe punishment for the perpetrators. Meanwhile, leaders from the Congress and AIMIM questioned the law and order situation in Mumbai, particularly regarding the activities of gangsters and the safety of film personalities.
Shaina NC expressed her sorrow over the incident, stating that such attacks are deeply troubling. She noted that the suspects, aged 17, 18, and 22, hail from Haryana and Bihar and are being exploited. The Mumbai police acted swiftly, arresting the suspects within 12 hours and registering a First Information Report (FIR). Shaina emphasized that the offenders should face stringent penalties to uphold the rule of law.
She further asserted that those behind this incident have no right to display such intimidation. Shaina expressed confidence that the Mumbai police would expose those responsible for the bullying.
Congress leader Bhai Jagatapa informed that a delegation from his party met with the Mumbai Police Commissioner. He raised concerns about the rising crime rates and the overt presence of gangsters in the media, noting that such fear and terror were not previously witnessed in Mumbai. He recalled that from 1995 to 2010, the influence of the underworld was effectively eradicated under the political leadership of his party.
AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan expressed surprise over the incident involving Shroff. He pointed out that despite the presence of many prominent Bollywood stars in Mumbai, no major celebrity has publicly commented on the shooting. Pathan highlighted the lack of response from high-profile figures as particularly noteworthy.

Congress leader Hussain Dalwai questioned the focus on the rapid arrest of suspects rather than the ongoing activity of such gangs. He noted that police tend to act swiftly when political figures are targeted, raising concerns about the command structure of gangs still operating despite their leaders being incarcerated. He criticized the Home Ministry for either failing to act or willfully ignoring the situation.
Congress leader Rashid Alvi expressed uncertainty about whether those detained are truly responsible for the shooting or if their arrest is merely a move to reassure the public. He called for clarity on the facts of the case, referencing the ruling BJP’s claims of zero tolerance towards crime while highlighting the alarming attempts on the lives of actors and other public figures.
In Hyderabad, Congress leader Riaz condemned the attack on Shroff, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in society. He described Bollywood as a symbol of grand events, achievements, and positive messages, asserting that the film industry is now facing significant threats. Riaz held the current Maharashtra government accountable and insisted that all actors and actresses should receive adequate protection to perform their work without fear.
