
New Delhi, August 10: BJP leaders have expressed their admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Indian medalists from the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026. They thanked the Prime Minister and congratulated the athletes for their achievements.
BJP MP Praveen Patel commented on PM Modi’s engagement with the players, stating, “PM Modi consistently promotes sports through ‘Khelo India.’ He shared a video on Instagram with our Commonwealth Games athletes, emphasizing that ‘those who play will shine.’ This is a significant message, as India is a youth-driven nation. When youth participate in sports, they will undoubtedly elevate the country’s name and develop their personalities.”
While congratulating the athletes, the MP added, “They have enhanced the nation’s pride at the Commonwealth Games. By winning gold, silver, and bronze medals, they have raised the country’s stature.”
Rajasthan BJP leader Rajendra Rathore remarked, “Today, a transforming India is becoming a leader in every field. Our Indian athletes at the Commonwealth Games have achieved unprecedented success. Initiatives like ‘Khelo India’ and ‘Fit India’ have promoted sports. Many of the athletes who participated this time emerged from village sports fields, bringing India’s name to the global stage.”
He continued, “The Prime Minister’s nature and working style certainly inspire people to excel in every field. His interaction with the athletes will invigorate them as they aim for the Asian Games and beyond, towards the Olympics. The encouragement PM Modi has provided to the athletes deserves immense gratitude.”
JD(U) National General Secretary Shyam Rajak noted, “There is a new energy among India’s athletes. After long efforts and the encouraging demeanor of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, people are eager to win. Our athletes are achieving victories in events like the Olympics and Asian Games. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to them and express our gratitude to PM Modi, whose efforts have invigorated the players.”
BJP National Spokesperson Guru Prakash stated, “Through ‘Khelo India’ and ‘Fit India,’ PM Modi has consistently urged the youth to recognize the importance of playing and staying fit. Whether at the Commonwealth or the Olympics, Indian athletes are performing exceptionally well on the global stage. I believe this encouragement provides energy and enthusiasm.”
