
Ahmedabad, June 21: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma participated in a yoga session. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to promote yoga globally have transformed this ancient Indian practice into a movement recognized worldwide.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation organized a large yoga session at the Sabarmati Riverfront, where Vishwakarma was present.
Addressing the attendees, he stated that the growing awareness of yoga around the world is a direct result of the Prime Minister’s continuous efforts.
Vishwakarma remarked, “Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, awareness of India’s ancient heritage, yoga, has spread globally. This is why we celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day.”
He described yoga as more than just physical exercise, highlighting it as a holistic way of living. “Yoga is not merely a physical workout; it is a way of life that brings balance to the body, mind, and soul,” he said.
He stressed the benefits of regular yoga practice, noting its role in reducing stress, enhancing concentration, boosting immunity, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Vishwakarma urged individuals to incorporate yoga into their daily routines, especially encouraging the youth to adopt this practice.
“Regular yoga practice reduces stress, increases concentration, strengthens immunity, and helps develop a healthy lifestyle,” he stated. He called on citizens to commit to making yoga an essential part of their everyday lives.
