PM Modi to Launch ₹9,400 Crore Projects During Karnataka and Telangana Visit

New Delhi, May 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka and Telangana on Sunday. He will participate in the 45th anniversary celebration of the Art of Living in Bengaluru and inaugurate several development projects worth approximately ₹9,400 crore in Hyderabad.

According to a statement from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the Prime Minister will first attend the ceremony at the Art of Living International Center in Bengaluru around 11 AM. He will then head to Hyderabad, where he will take part in a public event around 3 PM.

Founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living has evolved into a global volunteer organization operating in 182 countries. PM Modi will celebrate both the organization’s anniversary and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s 70th birthday.

During the Bengaluru event, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed meditation temple at the Art of Living International Center. He will also launch nationwide service initiatives focused on mental health, rural development, nature conservation, and social change.

In Hyderabad, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate several infrastructure and industrial projects aimed at enhancing connectivity, improving logistics, and promoting economic growth.

One of the key projects includes the construction of a four-lane National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahbubnagar along the Hyderabad-Panjim economic corridor, which has a budget of over ₹3,175 crore. This project is expected to reduce travel time by about one and a half hours and improve connectivity between Telangana and Karnataka.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Zahirabad industrial area in Sangareddy district as part of the Hyderabad-Nagpur industrial corridor development program. This project, covering 3,245 acres, is being developed at a cost of over ₹2,350 crore and is expected to attract investments of around ₹10,000 crore, creating significant employment opportunities.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate the PM Mitra Park in Warangal, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. Developed under the PM Mitra scheme at an estimated cost of ₹1,700 crore, the park aims to strengthen India’s textile sector under the central government’s “5F” vision (Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign).

The Prime Minister will dedicate rail infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹1,535 crore to the nation, including the 118-kilometer Kazipet-Vijayawada multi-tracking project and the Kazipet rail under-bypass project. These initiatives aim to reduce congestion and improve operational efficiency.

Moreover, PM Modi will dedicate the Malakapur terminal project, developed by Indian Oil Corporation at a cost of over ₹600 crore, to the nation. This terminal aims to enhance the handling capacity of petroleum products and meet the growing energy demands of the region.

In the healthcare sector, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad, a multi-specialty non-profit institution focused on cancer treatment, covering 21 lakh square feet. It features 1,500 beds, 29 operating theaters, and facilities related to over 33 specialties.

According to the statement, these projects reflect the Prime Minister’s vision of “Developed Telangana, Developed India,” emphasizing integrated infrastructure development, economic progress, and improved quality of life.
